Just Keeping Busy

12:50 AM

Mt. Fuji seen in the evening from Tokyo Tower

I guess in any country, the foreign community is always unstable.

People come and go depending on personal life and work.

Tonight I said goodbye to my best friend in Japan.

She's moving back to Singapore and I really can't believe I won't see her again.

Of course we can visit, but my partner in crime and fashion is gone.....

*sigh*

Well, she did leave me with lots of goodies, so maybe I can make a happier post tomorrow!

In order to make this post useful, I'd like to recommend Yookoso for Japanese learning.

You can sign up for grammar and vocab points to be emailed to you once a day.

It's easy to adjust to your level and not too overwhelming.

I think it's a great tool for someone studying Japanese.

I've only been using it for a week and sometimes it's hard to keep up with, but I like it.

Let me know if you use it and like it!

  3. :( A partner-in-crime is a hard thing to lose. Especially when she's not just a friend but also someone who shares a similar style to you.

  5. Friends leaving is so sad! In a few weeks, time I'll also say goodbye to some very good friends, and won't see them so fast again, so I know how it must be like! :-)

I'll surely come to visit you in Sendai! :-)

  8. It's definitely, sooo so hard to say goodbyes. I will be saying many goodbyes come September time as my course is full of international students. I just don't know when I'll see them again but I also know, this is most likely, the last time ever that so many of us will be able to meet in one place!

That view is stunning and thanks so much for that webpage!!

  10. Oh that would be quite hard to loose a best friend to distance like that. Its not like when a friendship fades out. I wish I could be your partner in crime. Anyway, I hope you will have a great weekend. Hugs!
