Label Whore

12:50 AM

You know those old department stores that are too uncool to visit?

...Or maybe it's just me who's prejudiced like that!

Fujisaki was never on my list of places to go when shopping.

My image of it was: an older generation, designer brands, high prices, not cutting-edge. nice toilets.

However, it was going on a trip to said nice toilets that landed me in a big financial dangerzone, haha.

I love when your purchases are wrapped in paper - it seems so grand!

First up, this may look familiar:

I fell in love with this Vivienne Westwood scarf so I got one for me and one for the giveaway.

Next, some black Vivienne Westwood tights marked down to 840yen. So cheap!

Anna Sui tights, 525yen on sale. I hope they fit, they're so cute!

Adorable ladybird print.

And finally, the piece de resistance...

Some kind of strange toe-less sock by Vivienne Westwood. Not sure how I'm going to wear them, but they look so cool!

I love the logo so much!

So I'm worried that I'm turning into a label whore.

These are particularly cool labels though, so maybe it doesn't matter so much? ;)

The weather is so hot and humid here that I don't think I can wear any of these for another couple of months.

Then I'll try to post some pictures with them actually on.

Therefore, I kind of consider these an investment for the future and that way I don't feel so bad about spending money!

Anyway, I think I've found a wallet-friendly way to add some brand-name class to any outfit.

Of course, who makes your clothes is not the be all and end all, but who among us could resist anything by Anna Sui for 500yen?

Bring on the brands!

By the way, I'm looking for "hidden gems" in Tokyo to take my family to.

I'm well aware of all the popular, typical things to do but if anyone has any random suggestions, I'd be happy to hear!

And aha, you sound like me in this post! I can be a bit of a label whore for...quality...not so much the brand itself :)

  5. I think that as long as you like the item, it doesn't matter if all you get is burando. You have to be happy with your clothes, not get happy because you got clothes other people like.

That said, I'm so envious! haha I wish I could find cool cheap things like yours! (not that I don't find cool things... just... well xD )

  7. I really like Vivienne Westwood and Anna Sui! It's very easy to find Vivienne Westwood things in Japan but here, in Spain, there aren't any shops of VW right now (;A;)!

Teruki (the drummer of An Cafe) is the one who comes from Sendai! He's awesome haha♥

  9. Everyone likes brands, so that's okay to buy something from time to time! :-)) The quality is really good most of the time with brand products! :-)

What are you meaning with hidden gems in Tokyo, do you mean sights no tourists ever visits, or yummy restaurants etc?

  10. Ohhhh those tights!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not a huge tights person but those designs are adorable! The logo on the black on is so chic! And the ladybug design is just so cute!

If given a chance to shop at a store which has Liz Lisa, I would be a label whore too! Certain brands just have that special something that grabs our attention :)

  11. Argh!! You found really cute items for a great price! You may not be able to wear the tights in this poopadoop weather but they are going to be so great in the autumn/winter!

And I really LOVE those Westwood sock, I mean so much that I want to get some too! hehe^^ I think they would be perfect with peep-toe ankle boots. You could fold the top of the sock over the boot and show off the cute logo!

Oh yeah, those type of department stores have the best toilets for sure, and luckily noone seems to judge you for going in there for that one purpose haha!
