This outfit is a (self)lesson in budgeting. Following on from my recent posts on dressing cheaply and dating cheaply in Japan, I've been taking my own advice. Most of the time. Anyway it's fun trying to make my wardrobe work harder. The weather is still proving a challenge when balancing warmth and style but I can feel Spring approaching and even when it's snowing it doesn't seem as cold.
The cupcake print tights are my new obsession. Readers who follow Japanese fashion trends are probably familiar with Avantegarde, home to the wildest and most fabulous leg-wear in the world. I still find it intimidating going into shops like that though. Well, maybe not intimidating so much as depressing. Hello giant European legs. Actually I usually really like my legs but it can be hard to find well-fitting tights in Japan.
I took a chance though, and they fit perfectly. They're comparable to Grimoire's tights in terms of comfort and warmth, definitely a good thing. At (about) 3000yen these tights aren't cheap but I think they're a good investment.
On a random note. tonight I have a demon-themed party to attend and I have no idea what to wear. Maybe I should go as shopping addiction as my own "personal" demon!
