What to carry your stuff in when going to a concert?

Last night I went to the Sendai concert of Miyavi 's NEO TOKYO SAMURAI BLACK -JAPAN Circuit-

This is my second time to see one of his lives and it was amazing, if totally different to the Kabuki Rock Tour.

Anyway, during the week I realised that I had no bag small/durable enough to survive a concert pit.

As usual I was looking for a bargain, so I went to my local recycle shop.

Recycle shops are Japan's version of second hand shops, although the quality of things for sale is much better than in other countries.

I buy almost all of my brand-name goods from recycle shops and as long as you don't mind wearing pieces after their original season, it's a great way to save money.

This bag isn't brand-name (in fact, I searched outside and inside it for some hint as to what label it came from, but it's totally unidentifiable...unless "Made in China" is a brand I'm unaware of, haha).

The bag is tube-shaped, but you can't see that very well from the photos.

It was the perfect size to carry money, phone, keys, lipstick and Suica card.

All I needed to rock out!

The chain strap is really long, so it hung safely at my waist as I pushed my way to the front of the crowd.

This bag had been reduced several times and was hidden in the bottom of the "on-sale" basket.

Unbelievabley, it only cost me 250 yen. That's basically free!

By the way, if you are a Miyavi fan I recommend you buy the tour DVD when it's available.

The set list was brilliant and....I was lucky enough to speak with Miyavi, so you might see me on camera!

I love cross-body and long strap bags alot, they just hang there and you don't have to worry about them too much hehe

  2. Such a cute bag! I'm way to lazy to carry my bag with me when I am at a gig I tend to leave it in the cloakroom (if there is one)

  4. さらまり - Thanks for commenting on all my posts! I've just started blogging so it means a lot. You're right, the positioning of the bag is just perfect. Makes it a little less likely that it will strangle me in the concert pit!

  5. Rayelle - I did leave most of my stuff in the coin locker, but the bar was open and the merchandise was funky, so I wanted to keep my options open, haha! By the way, I just visited your blog and saw GD and the "Remember" album on the first page, so I'm following you for sure now!

  6. Bianca - So right! I'm hopeless at following trends, so I couldn't even if I wanted to. Clothes are too beautiful to stick to just one style!

  7. Ahh, lucky you!! I'm a huuuge Miyavi fan but haven't been to a show of his in a couple of years. But woooow, I can't believe you actually got to speak with him <3

I prefer not to take bags to gigs so I can dance more freely. The last time I saw Miyavi I wore a big hoodie dress with a front pouch to store my essentials.
