Fruitea

12:50 AM

Charming tea time.

Do you remember my cute mint case?

I posted it back when nobody read my blog so it didn't get any love :(

But I still love the shop where I bought it, Afternoon Tea.

It really is...charming!

I definitely over-use that word, but here I simply HAVE TO use it.

Afternoon Tea is one of the best purveyors of Japanese-European fusion, selling a romantic dream that we all want to buy in to.

It has a special meaning for me because Mr. Miruku took me to tea there when I visited his hometown.

He knows just what I like and I fell in love with the place.

Unfortunately it took me 4 months to figure out that Afternoon Tea is in Sendai too - oops!

Their restaurant is also delicious although the menu is limited.

Fortunately, their seasonal menu changes often and here I present to you their (just finished) Early Summer Menu.

Ready to choose.

I love the design of the cover. It's so classic I want to take it home and use it as an ornament!

It's a very small menu but quality over quantity, right?

Trying to be artistic, haha.

Raspberry and Mint Jelly Iced Tea

Blueberry and Yogurt No-Bake Cheesecake

I loved the fruity flavours from both the cake and the tea.

The funny thing was, the tea looked like juice so the feeling in your mouth was quite shocking, especially when you mixed the jelly in to thicken it ever so slightly.

As for the cheesecake, I had never tasted a blueberry flavoured one before.

It was just heavenly.

The menu changed again recently, but I haven't tried it yet.

It's a terrible sacrifice for the sake of my blog readers, but I'll force myself back there to taste everything.

*sigh* I'm such a hero....

  12. Sakie and Thomas Gantz - Thank you for visiting, I hope you'll come again! You know what, if I had to choose I'd say the drink was better, because the flavour was so unusual. But they were both amazing!

  15. You truly are a martyr for eating there for us. Forcing your self to eat homemade treats day in and day out. How do you even get out of bed in the morning knowing that you have to go eat cake! I think you need a spa vacation from all this hard work! ;)

  16. Bianca - Spa vacation? That's not a bad idea! Especially if I do it in the name of the blog!
