Food for thought.
This is the last in my series of short crappy posts.
Blogging service resumes as normal tomorrow - yay!
I actually have a file on my laptop called "emergency". It contains one-off photos that I can dip into whenever I don't have time to put together a decent post.
This one is good though.
It's a sign I pass on the way to my favourite Indian restaurant.
I don't like making jokes about English mistakes when someone has clearly put a lot of effort into this.
Actually, I think it's kind of inspiring.
The broken English enhances the message - don't let your limitations or disadvantages get in the way of doing what you want to do.
If I were to make a joke though, I would mention that this sign happens to be located in a highbrow part of town , near a university and populated by people who should know better.... ;)

I think the message is pretty inspiring too. And encouraging. Encouraging messages are the best. I love it.

ReplyDeleteWhenever I read English like that in Japan, I always wonder who it was that wrote it.
ReplyDeleteI really like that message too. Great to build people up and make them smile when they read it :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with sara....
ReplyDeleteon another note, this somehow made me hungry =_=
Sasa - Yep, it's always nice to read something like that!
ReplyDeleteShop N' Chomp - Me too :)
ReplyDeleteSaving Capulet - I'm so happy that you found it helpful!
ReplyDeleteさらまり - In this case I guess it was the owner of the restaurant! The cynic in me wonders if he wanted to appeal to the university students...
ReplyDelete中華そば O_o
ReplyDeletewhat a random sign for a soba place
Rii - Maybe it helps all the students who pass it everyday, especially when they take exams!
ReplyDeleteBianca - must be the restaurant connection, haha!
ReplyDeletecin-cin - I think this would count as random ANYWHERE!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, that completely describes the way I try to think. Try, because it's always hard when you're failing at something to think positive. But I feel like thinking negatively and complaining won't get me anywhere closer to my goal. So I really like this message.
ReplyDeleteThe Engrish isn't that bad, either. It's cute. :3
Pony - I'm glad you like it, I think we can all relate to it at certain points in our lives. And I agree, the English is nice!
